OPTIMA PHARMA GMBH

Seit einigen Jahren bereitet die Optima Unternehmensleitung umfangreiche Baumaßnahmen vor. Jetzt fällt der Startschuss für die zweite Etappe mit dem Spatenstich des Logistikzentrums im Solpark. Im vergangenen Jahr wurden die bisher unterschiedlich organisierten Abteilungen zentralisiert und zum Jahreswechsel die neue Materialwirtschaft unter Leitung von Heiko Funk in eine eigenständige Gesellschaft eingebracht. Mit der räumlichen Zusammenführung im Solpark entstehen die dafür wichtigen Hallenflächen und Büroräume. Heiko Funk (Geschäftsführer OPTIMA materials management GmbH), Andreas Kettemann (Gruppenleiter Logistik) und Matthias Dietz (Leitung Optima Facility Management) haben gemeinsam mit ihren Teams in den letzten Monaten das Vorhaben auf den Weg gebracht. Weitere Bauvorhaben sollen folgen und befinden sich derzeit in der Planung.

For several years, Optima Management has been working on an extensive building project. The ground breaking for the logistics center in the Solpark is the start of the second leg of the building project. Last year several departments were centralized and at the beginning of the year the new materials management department was founded as an independent corporation under the management of Heiko Funk. A new hall and office space was created with the new physical configuration in the Solpark. Within the last few months, in collaboration with their teams, Heiko Funk (Managing Director OPTIMA materials management GmbH), Andreas Kettemann (Supervisor Logistics) and Matthias Dietz (Supervision Optima Facility Management) started the project. Additional building projects will follow, and are in the planning stage.

One of the most prestigious international prizes for pharmaceutical equipment and innovations, the "Facility of the Year Award", was given to the American business organization Cook Pharmica in 2017 for the "Flexible Filling Line" (FFL). The project was executed together with Optima Pharma as a partner for filling, closing and isolator technologies. The FFL consists of the OPTIMA MultiUse Filler which was designed and developed especially for the needs of the contract manufacturer. As stated by ISPE, a special feature of the Flexible Filling Line is the ability to process different types of containers including vials, cartridges and syringes on one machine, instead of having three separate lines as in the past. Flexibility can also be seen in regards to the dosing systems and the container sizes. The implementation of robotics and automation to reach the highest level of flexibility makes it the "first of its kind" as was stated in the selection committee`s reasoning.

Der “Facility of the Year Award“, einer der international renommiertesten Preise für pharmazeutische Anlagen und Innovationen, ging 2017 an das US-amerikanische Unternehmen Cook Pharmica für die „Flexible Filling Line (FFL)“. Realisiert wurde das Projekt gemeinsam mit Optima Pharma, als Partner für die Füll-, Verschließ- und Isolatortechnik. Die FFL-Anlage basiert auf einem OPTIMA MultiUse Filler, der speziell auf die Bedürfnisse des Lohnherstellers weiterentwickelt wurde. Eine Besonderheit der Flexible Filling Line ist das Verarbeiten der Behältnistypen Vials, Karpulen und Fertigspritzen auf einer Anlage, für die zuvor noch drei verschiedene Anlagen erforderlich gewesen seien. Flexibilität werde zudem in Hinblick auf die Dosierverfahren und die Behältnisgrößen erzielt. Die „erste Anlage ihrer Art“, heißt es in der Begründung der Jury, setzt auf Robotertechnik und Automatisierung, um ein Höchstmaß an Flexibilität zu erzielen.

One goal united more than 200 participants at the 6th Pharma Forum in Schwaebisch Hall: the best possible patient safety and health. 24 nations and many of the world-famous pharmaceutical companies have joined the Pharma Forum on Wednesday and Thursday. Many detailed questions and also the exchange of ideas between the presentations indicated the high interest in the topics. Juergen Rothbauer (CEO OPTIMA pharma GmbH) was delighted about the course of events and thanked guests and speakers for the exciting communication.
